  3. Hi, Thank You. I love this tutorial. I am trying to make each piece separate and not group them. So I can animate them in AE. Is there a way to ungroup them without damaging the 3d. I tried to ungroup them. It flattened out and afterward, I tried to 3d each separately. Def not coming out well. I am new to this Adobe world, Thanks

  4. This is the 2nd video of yours which has come my way – loved it! Thanks! Just one thing – at the end, when I added the blush on the cheeks, the black from the gradients left white "halos" on the cube. To remedy that, on the black end of the gradient slider…I gave the black 0% opacity – worked like a charm!!! I'm relatively new at this- and I never realized I could work with separate entities, making each with its own 3D parameters! THANKS so much for the lesson!!!! I really enjoy your videos!

  5. Thanks so much for this eye opening tutorial, I've seen all over linked-in people showing off the new illustrator's 3D, but this was the first actually useful and COOL art I've seen done with it, nice work! Now I wish Adobe would let us export OBJ or other 3D file types from Illustrator like you can from photoshop; it would be so epic to extrude and create logos and type in illustrator and go right to Keyshot or C4D for rendering
