what is better for time line performance, working directly with illustrator layers in aftereffects or converting each illustrator layer to transparent png's and importing them into aftereffects and working that way. would appreciate all expert coments please.

I have a question about importing illustrator files to aftereffects
I designed a shape with transparency layers in Illustrator but after importing the file to aftereffects, all the effects and transparency of the layers will disappear. I tried many ways to import the file and save the transparency of the layers but they didn't work!🙁🤯

Is it a way to import with overlord and keep the stroke profiles from Illustrator? In some of my work I have nice, tapered lines I want to import as they are. In after effects the strokes go back to standard mode, without the taper.

Your Plugin Motion Tools is absolutely fantastic! In some cases Overlord is not convenient, and when I convert the layers inside AE they have this big border. The Remove Artbord feature is very useful to remove this big border!
I was so excited to buy Overlord because work with many gradients, just to read on their website that THEY DO NOT SUPPORT GRADIENTS. Please don't give false information, I learn the hard way that Overlord doesn't support it.
Yor plugin is not free. It expires after 1 day of using the Trial Licence and its paid version costs 40$. Why can't you just be straight and mention it in the video or even on your website?

Great video tutorial, but I am disappointed I can't use the script. Is the Motion Tools script compatible with Adobe AE 2022? I downloaded it but after installing, it doesn't show up in my menus anywhere! I did restart multiple times and still can't see it :/

Hi: Thank you for a great tutorial, and to introduce those interesting tools that will make the workflow from illustrator quite easier. If I decide to export some illustrator files into After Effects, should I draw the artwork in RGB mode in illustrator? In that case, will I still be required to press the continuous rasterization button above the layers in After Effects?

dammit!!! i was really hoping you would touch on my issue with importing ai into ae! that is when you have clipping paths or photos in masks in ai.. whenever i import i have a whole load of folders coming into ae. its very frustrating as they come in nested. do you now a way of eliminating this problem? i would rather not have to export to psd, go in and pick out say 40 layers that arent in any order and flatten them.
