Assist guys! I am making an attempt to recreate a gradient on the left utilizing gradient mesh, however edge opacity will not go down previous 1, I want a clear, clear edges in order that I can use the gradient on any background. Any suggestions?

try not to do it with transparency. Your final gradient colour should be the same colour as the background and you can then use a solid fill behind it to fake the transparency
Tough dilemma. Is it possible to get the gradient mesh close to where you want it, make it a smart object, add a mask, and hand paint the edges with a mid-opacity soft brush?
I mean, my bootstrap version would be to just color the edges the background color, and then slap a full opacity layer underneath the gradient in the background color as well. Voila! Btw super dope lil project in Behance, thanks for sharing.
You could also try to go a different route:
* create a duplicate of your gradient mesh and change the colours to black (for the later transparent parts) and white (for the later solid parts). The mesh points of the black and white version should be solid/100% opacity
* Copy the black and white version to memory
* Create a mask via the transparency panel
* Paste the duplicate to the exact position of other gradient
If this is in illustrator, make the bottom object transparent and the front one fully opaque.
Set the color mode to Multiply too
A workaround could be to build the object out of layered multiple items + transparency
I probably would have used layered soft brushes and blurring in Ps. Not everything has to be vector format.

It may be a possibility this is a raster/photoshop effect but high-res and using high bit depth before converting back to 8 bit for output. You get great gradient smoothness during editing with 16 bit in photoshop before adding some noise overlay and exporting back to 8 bit for general use.
Ditch gradient mesh, and use a blend. Draw 2 shapes, select both and hit ALT+CTRL+B
Adjust the steps (object>blend menu) to like 200, and then add more shapes and edit the path for controlling the blend direction
Try messing with blending from one gradient fill to another as, well as no fill, or gradients on strokes—can all give really crazy effects to achieve this more clean blend you’re after
Blend modes could work. Play with multiply and screen and fading the gradient out to black or white. The blend mode could blend out the black or white.
Both would work better/worse depending on if your bg was light or dark.
Ik this is kida stupid to say but making this gradient in a 3d software seems the easiest way, its literally some colored light cones
