This is obviously a scam:
* Nobody randomly discovers a designer online *and* has a “super flexible” budget.
* An [Outlook.com](https://Outlook.com) address? They might as well be sending this from [hotmail.ru](https://hotmail.ru).
* Asks for a brochure that’s A4 and later 8.5×11.5. A client in Texas doesn’t even know what A4 is. And 8.5×11.5 isn’t the correct measurement for US Letter.
Approving this because people in general should be more aware of phishing. Please do not do any work without being paid in some way first.

My general practice would be:
1. Establish contact via phone, Zoom, Skype, etc.
2. Make an official contract and demand at least 25% upfront.
3. When you got the money start working.
4. Show your work, if he accepts it wait for the rest of your pay.
5. If he doesn’t pay its a breach of contract.
